Mayo will get their Christy Ring Cup campaign underway against Derry tomorrow without Keith Higgins.

As expected, the dual star hasn't been included in hurling manager JP Coen's 26-man squad for the trip to Owenbeg. Coen claimed this week that Higgins had been ordered not to hurl by his football counterparts Noel Connelly and Pat Holmes.

Higgins' fellow dual stars David Kenny and Sean Regan are selected at centre back and full forward respectively, however.
