The Mayo management team could be forced to put on hold plans to trim the squad amid an injury crisis.
Already on the long term injury list are Evan Regan (collarbone), Cillian O'Connor (knee ligament) and Chris Barrett (foot), all of who are rated doubtful for the Connacht SFC opener on June 14th.
They have now been joined by Mickey Conroy who is suffering from an Achilles tendon injury and is also rated for the opening championship game.
Throw in the fact that Jason Gibbons and Darren McHugh are not even part of the squad at the moment as they recover from long term injuries and it leaves the squad thin on the ground.
The Mayo management have added Crossmolina's Conor Loftus to the squad after he impressed on the recent training camp in Portugal, but it is doubtful that they will cut the squad over the coming weeks.
