Second collarbone blow for Evan Regan

Mayo footballer Evan Regan has suffered a broken collarbone for a second time this year and is set to be sidelined for up to 12 weeks.

A statement issued by Mayo GAA reads: 'Evan Regan from the Ballina Stephenites GAA Club who is a current member of the Mayo Senior Football Panel on Tuesday night last while training suffered a re-occurence of the injury sustained earlier this year.

'Evan has broken his collarbone which is the same injury as that sustained in the Allianz Football League match against Kerry in February this year.

"Evan has been to visit the consultant and in conjunction with the Mayo Senior Football Medical Team will be reviewed and will continue to work to get Evan back to full fitness as soon as is possible.

'If is likely that Evan will be out of action for at least 12 weeks.

'We wish Evan a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him back on the playing field in the Green & Red soon.'
