Mayo joint-manager Pat Holmes is not getting too excited about the win over Monaghan.

The Connacht side produced a very good display to comfortably beat Monaghan in the third round of the NFL Division One campaign.

The win moves Mayo onto four points and back in the hunt for a place in the knockout stages, but Holmes stressed to the Western People that it was just another day at the office.

"It was a league match on a cold day in March, so we won't be getting too excited, but it was nice to win," said Holmes.

"We didn't do anything particularly different. We just worked hard over the last two weeks in training and of course our fitness is improving all the time too and that's pleasing."
