The Mayo fan who invaded the Gaelic Grounds pitch at the end of the thrilling All-Ireland SFC semi-final replay against Kerry in August has been hit with a one-year suspension by the GAA.
The fan in question achieved 15 minutes of fame after TV cameras showed footage of five stewards struggling to escort him off the pitch as he tried to confront referee Cormac Reilly.
Stewards at grounds throughout the country will be delighted to read in the Irish Sun today that the GAA has banned him from attending games for the next 12 months!
