Holders Castlebar Mitchels and Ballintubber booked their places in the Mayo SFC semi-finals yesterday evening.
Last season's All-Ireland club finalists Castlebar enjoyed a 2-12 to 0-7 victory over Aghamore. County man Barry Moran's first half goal had the town side 1-5 to 0-5 ahead at the break and a Neil Douglas penalty early in the second period effectively ended the game as a contest.
In the second quarter-final at Elvery's MacHale Park, an Alan Plunkett goal with 10 minutes remaining sealed a 1-14 to 0-9 victory for Ballintubber over Ballaghaderreen.
Barring draws, the other two semi-final spots will be filled this afternoon when Knockmore take on Breaffy and Garrymore meet Charlestown in the remaining quarter-finals.
