Mayo GAA Poc Fada 2014

The Mayo GAA Poc Fada competition was held at Elvery's MacHale Park on Tuesday evening last July 1st. The 2013 winner Donal O'Brien from Ballyhaunis retained the title for 2014. The runner up was Matt Schwertfeger from Tooreen Hurling Club. The other participants on the night were Brendan Geraghty (Westport), Davog Freyne (Tooreen), Derek McDonnell (Belmullet) and Joe Kennedy (Castlebar Mitchels). Following the competition the Mayo GAA Poc Fada Shield was presented to Donal O'Brien by Mayo Hurling Secretary Eugene Connolly. Both Donal O'Brien and Matt Schwertfeger will now represent Mayo at the Connacht Poc Fada Finals in Bekan next week.
