Minors focus on championship

April 16, 2014
Mayo minors know they have a lot of preparing to do after their Connacht minor football league campaign ended in disappointment.

A one-point defeat to Sligo last weekend brought down the curtain on the provincial league campaign as Mayo finished third from bottom having won just one of their five matches.

Mayo must now wait until early July for their opening match in the Connacht Minor football championship as they take on the winners of Sligo and Galway who meet on June 21st.

The Mayo management team will know that they have plenty to do ahead of the semi final, and they will be a keen for the side to show some of the form that helped them be so successful last year.
