Former Mayo midfielder Pat Harte has switched his club allegiance from Ballina Stephenites to Sligo champions Tourlestrane.

The Western People reports that Harte, a goalscorer in the 2006 All-Ireland SFC final, now resides in Tourlestrane and has strong family ties with the parish.

His transfer was rubber stamped inside the last week and he lined out for his adopted club in their 0-10 to 2-11 Sligo SFL Division 1 defeat to Coolera-Strandhill over the weekend.

Harte's last championship match in the colours of Ballina Stephenites was last year's Mayo SFC quarter-final defeat to eventual champions Castlebar Mitchels. Tweet
