Moran has respect for Galway

Castlebar Mitchels and Mayo player Barry Moran
Mayo midfielder Barry Moran has respect, but doesn't fear Galway.

The old rivals clash in yet another Connacht championship at Salthill on Sunday and Mayo go into the match as slight favourites.

Many teams would be daunted by going to Salthill, but Moran stressed to the Western People that won't be the case for Mayo.

"You really respect Galway because of the tradition they have and that team that they are, but you don't fear any team and I don't think Galway would fear coming to MacHale Park either," said Moran.

"It's a local derby and you look forward to it, but we're just concentrating on doing what we have to do. We know that if we can put in a performance we're capable of beating anyone, but that's the same for Galway and you don't underestimate them."
