Mayo defender Kevin Keane is expecting a real battle in Salthill on Sunday week.
The Connacht champions take on old rivals Galway in their own backyard on May 19th with a place in the provincial semi final at stake.
Mayo head down as favourites, but Keane stressed to the Mayo News that there will be very little separating the sides at the final whistle.
"It's going to be a battle that's going to go right down to the wire. It's going to be a great game. But at this stage we can only focus on ourselves," said Keane.
"The injuries are a drawback but at the end of the day we have a strong panel and lads gunning for places, the likes of Evan Regan, Darren Coen and Alan Murphy.
"There are places up for grabs and the next three weeks are vital. Lads know there's an opportunity there. I think the depth in our panel is very strong. One guy drops out and another comes in. We've a strong unit."
