Mayo GAA officials sat down with members of the Connacht Council and Croke Park representatives yesterday in a bid to ‘reach a solution’ to the ongoing row with the Mayo GAA International Supporters Foundation.
A letter originally sent by the Connacht Council explained that the purpose of the meeting was "to scope the full extent of the problem and to help the county committee to reach a solution that will be sustainable into the future".
A GAA source revealed to The Irish Independent that a process aimed at achieving that goal is underway and dismissed speculation that any county board officer is being asked to step aside.
