Mayo will open their Connacht SFC campaign against New York in Gaelic Park on May 5 and already plans are in place for a major fundraising dinner to coincide with the game.

With thousands of Mayo fans expected to descend on the Big Apple for the clash with the Exiles, preparations are underway for the first annual Mayo GAA International Supporters' Foundation Black Tie Gala which is taking place in Cipriani, Broadway on Friday, May 3.

According to the Western People, there are 'Ruby Sponsor' and 'Emerald Sponsor' packages available which cost $25,000 and $10,000 respectively. The 'Ruby Sponsor' package includes VIP seating for nine people alongside a 'high-profile player', prominent advertising space in the event journal, a signed team jersey, special VIP gifts for guests and entry to the event after-party for all guests.

Supporters availing of the 'Emerald Sponsor' package will get seating for nine or 10 guests, depending on whether a player or former player is seated at the table, acknowledgements in the event journal, a signed jersey, gifts and entry to the after-party.

A full page advert in the journal / programme will set you back $5,000, with a half-page costing $2,500.

The event is being billed as an "unforgettable evening celebrating our heritage and building a brighter future for Mayo and the greater Mayo community."
