Provincial hurling finals took centre stage this afternoon.

The finals in the Munster and Leinster championships were due to be decided this afternoon and what quality games we had in store.

Cork take on Clare in a repeat of last year's final down south and this was a cracking match between two teams in excellent form.

Then at 4pm, the Leinster SHC final saw Galway and Kilkenny go head to head. The Tribesmen were favourites to retain their title, but you write the Cats off at your peril.

There was also the no small matter of the Joe McDonagh Cup final between Carlow and Westmeath and we had minute by minute updates from this game also.

The sun is out and the sky is blue and the temperature is sure to rise on the pitch as it will off it, so to follow all the action as it happened just click here.
