Second-half goals from Ultan O'Reilly and Ciaran Mylett propelled Mayo to a comprehensive Connacht MFC round 3 victory over Sligo at MacHale Park today.
The hosts finished with 14 points to spare over their opponents - 2-18 to 0-10.
They enjoyed an 0-8 to 0-4 at the midway point after captain Enda Hession had opened the scoring and full-forward O'Reilly and substitute Mylett's strikes put the issue beyond any doubt.
Roscommon produced a rampant second-half showing in today's other round 3 clash at Pairc Sean MacDiarmada.
The primrose and blues shaded the opening period the narrowest of margins (1-4 to 0-6) but cut loose after the break to record runaway 18-point victory.
It finished Roscommon 4-15, Leitrim 0-9 in Carrick-on-Shannon.
Adam McDermott, Eoin Derwin, Fearghus Lennon and James Fitzpatrick netted the goals for the winners.
