Cian Hanley's return from Australia has raised the prospect of him lining out for Mayo in this year's championship.
It was confirmed last night that the 2013 All-Ireland minor winner is returning home after a four-year spell with AFL club Brisbane Lions. A younger brother of Pearce, Hanley's progress in the AFL was hampered by injury and he could be back in Mayo as early as this weekend.
The Ballaghadereen clubman was an exciting forward during his minor days and could bring additional firepower to the Mayo attack as they seek to make amends for their defeats to Dublin in the last two All-Ireland finals.
Farewell Cian. We wish you all the best with your future!https://t.co/LF7tzqMkz8- Brisbane Lions (@brisbanelions) February 9, 2018
