Question, relating player? He is a great club footballer but he's just not up to intercounty standard. Louth Gael , 18/03/2010 at 21:29
Best Louth team for the championship cmurray,Honest mistakes on my part with the names, not much time on the Computer. At the end of the day, I'm no longer a player, an insider, or even a so called 'Expert'. I'm a FAN and a Louth supporter having a go at picking the team based on what I've seen at Club and County Level, which is a fair bit. I could be way off, but sure there you have it. Why don't you have a go yourself, thats the idea of the thread. ninjasmyth , 18/03/2010 at 21:20

No Louth Minor Special League? Any one have any reports on how games went what players played well etc?? TheRealMcCoy , 18/03/2010 at 19:13
Best Louth team for the championship Ninja smyth.. for someone whose taking-on the task of selecting the Louth team that should field in the Leinster SFC, you've shown yourself to know little or nothing if you're calling Declan Byrne 'Dessie' Byrne... And I see we're going to field against Longford, without a goalkeeper... cmurray , 18/03/2010 at 18:47
Championship Dates?? Can anyone tell me if dates are set for championship games yet?? JohnHume1 , 18/03/2010 at 18:46

Best Louth team for the championship ninja,Who's Dessie B ? squidword , 18/03/2010 at 17:36
Best Louth team for the championship Dave the Rave,No, Devenney & McGinn are not there, but with all our injuries at midfield & forward lines we need some backup. I Like Ronan Greene as well but I will stick with Dessie Byrne as he likes to attack more, we may not have seen the best from him yet. I know this restricts JOB, who I think is a great defender but something has to give. If Byrne is not playing well, I would switch JOB to half back and put on Ronan Greene behind him.Gallagher is certainly our keeper at present. Still not fully sure about Lennon, but I would like to see 2 bigger full forwards. This is tough on Judge who offers a lot. I think Hoeyser is better at CHB than in the forwards. Did his position against Fermanagh make the difference on the scoreboard? I think he could be more influencial at half back. We have to give some of the new lads a go. Nice to see a few options. Bring on the weekend. ninjasmyth , 18/03/2010 at 17:14
Louth V Roscommon was in fermanagh last sun . some questions how is it brian white gets motm last week in midfield then is placed out on the wing next match shevlin played well when he came on but he played with his club the night before this cant be a good way to run a team and also to put shane lennon in mid field was very unfair on him as he has nt be able to train fully since his injury, would it not have been better to put brennan or crilly there instead of lennon. not knocking lennon in fact he done very well when put up beside jp and arron bigjon , 18/03/2010 at 16:51

New players on Louth panel Squid * Sam,I dont think Roscommon are the same team as last year judging by their performances, and hope we get over this potential banana skin. Lads are starting to play with a little confidence even when things are not going well for them and they are fighting till the end of each game.I wasnt in Enniskillen, so cant comment on that performance. I agree Gallagher is a great shot stopper as shown against Cavan and Wexford, but his kickout placements have to improve or maybe the signals are wrong. Our midfield needs to be winning 75% of our kickouts and we are lucky if we get 50%. C. Lynch may be one for the future but I thought he was good at U21 as well as a good shot stopper, Big lad. Anyway as I said I dont expect too many changes, maybe some injured players back on. Would also like to see Ronan Greene on from the start. ninjasmyth , 18/03/2010 at 11:14
Congrats to Charlie A nicer man you couldnt meet. I agree with all of the above comments. A living legend, what a man. Joe_Don , 18/03/2010 at 10:51

New players on Louth panel ninjasmythCounty: LouthPosts: 153 I would also put Craig Lynch on in goals for the next match instead of Gallagher to see all our options. Roscommon at home is the perfect time for this. Need to do something about the kickouts. I still see 4 places up for graps for the championship. CHB, RFB. RHF & FF. I dont think we are going to see any new lads in these positions that we havent seen before, I hope I'm wrong. A few switches maybe will work as good as we can do. ninjasmyth, Can you kindly explain to us what you believe was wrong with Neill Gallagher's kick outs last weekend in Enniskillen and further explain why in Gods name you want Fitzer to blood Craig Lynch in what is a very important NFL game for Louth against Roscommon next Sunday. Have you forgotten what Roscommon did to Louth in Drogheda last year ?. Louth need to be going into their last two away games to Antrim and Offaly on the back of a win against Roscommon. I believe that score difference is going to be a major factor in the division therefore we need to field the strongest and best team available. Finally ninjasmyth you seem to think that Roscommon a county fighting to avoid relegation to Div 4 are going to be a push over for Louth, think again. squidword , 17/03/2010 at 11:49
