Our club Lotto is back from holiday and resumes this Wednesday 17th August where the jackpot is €10,000, the reserve jackpot is €10,000 and the second reserve jackpit stays at €1,300. Tickets are available from the usual local outlets, Lotto sellers and any committee member. Funds raised from our Lotto draw go towards the running of the club and your support is greatly appreciated.

 

Naomh Fionnbarra/Lannleire U-16 team beat St. Joseph's 4-10(22) to 4-8(20) in the U-16 B Championship Round 2 on Monday 8th August.

 

Naomh Fionnbarra/Lannleire U-18 team beat Clan na Gael 7-18(39) to 4-5(17) in the U-18 B Championship Round 2 on Wednesday 10th August.
Our Intermediate team play in the Division 2/3 League relegation play off semi final v Stabannon Parnells on Saturday 20th August at 6:30pm at John Markey Park.  The lads also have to play the Championship Quarter Final v St. Josephs G.F.C. Dromiskin on Saturday 27th August at 7pm in The Grove, Castlebellingham.  
 

Naomh Fionnbarra Ladies team play St. Fechins in the second round of the Intermediate Championship next weekend.

 

There are plenty of upcoming fixtures this week for supporters and players alike, please come along and support our teams if you can make it.  For more fixtures details please see local press, Louth and Proud website and the Louth GAA website.

 

Work continued on upgrade works on the existing pitch at the weekens, using voluntary labour and equipment, as work started on laying the new walkway around the pitch with low level lighting. Many thanks to those who gave up their time and equipment over the weekend including Digger driver; Liam Murphy; Tractor drivers Martin McCreesh, Brendan Rogers, Nicholas Butterly & Daniel Woods, Landscpaers; Frank Reynolds, Peter Callan, Patsy Matthews, Ken Reade, Joseph Callaghan, Damien Hanratty, Thomas McQuillan, Patrick Murray, Philip Monaghan and Laurence Kelly.  Food Team who prepared food for the hungry workers!!; Trisha O'Reilly, Mary Reade and Una Carragher.  The digger was kindly supplied by Joseph O'Reilly and dumper trailers from Colm Markey and Raymond Hoey.  There will be more voluntary work undertaken in the next few weeks as work will continue on laying the track, erecting floodlight columns and low level lighting and erecting a ball stop at the bottom goals and more help will be needed so if you're interested please feel free to get in touch with Martin on 087 6785615.

  
Naomh Fionnbarra G.F.C. hosted a Kellogs GAA Cúl Football and Hurling Camp at John Markey Park this week. Over 120 children enjoyed the camp and a great week was had by all.
