There was no jackpot winner in Naomh Fionnbarra G.F.C. and St. Anne's Camogie Club Lotto draw held on Wednesday 20th July. The winning numbers were 12, 20, 24 & 25. There were 3 match 3 winners Eileen Hand, Togher, Nicholas Butterly, Salterstown and Anne Downey, Newry who won €50 each. Next weeks jackpot stays at €10,000, with the reserve jackpot rising to €10,000 and the second Reserve €1,300. Tickets are available from the usual local outlets, Lotto sellers and any committee member. Funds raised from our Lotto draw go towards the running of the club and your support is greatly appreciated.

 

Naomh Fionnbarra/Lannleire U-18 team beat Dundalk Young Irelands 7-10(31) to 4-4(16) in the Division 3 League Round 7 on Monday 18th July.

 

Our Junior B team lost to Newtown Blues B in Round 7 of the Division 4 League 1-6(9) top 2-13(16).  Naomh Fionnbarra B Team:  Shane O'Brien, Brendan Simms, Michael McGrane, Martin O'Neill; Michael McArdle, Shane Fanning, Matthew Monaghan; Nicholas Butterly, Gary Matthews; Peter Markey, Andy McCann, Brendan Murphy; Pádraic Murphy 1-4, Alan Connor 0-2, Caolán Leech.  Subs: Máirtín Murphy for Alan Connor.  The lads lie joint 5th in the Division and have a chance of making the play offs.  The last game of the regular league v Geraldines is onWednesday 27th July at John Markey Park at 8pm.


Naomh Fionnbarra/Lannleire U-15 team beat Dundalk Young Irelands 5-11(26) to 6-6(24) in the Division 3 League Round 2 on Wednesday 20th July.

 

Naomh Fionnbarra/Lannleire U-12 team lost to Hunterstown Rovers 4-4(16) to 9-11(38) in the Division 2 League Round 7 on Friday 22nd July.

 

Our Intermediate team take beat Na Piarsaigh in the 2nd Round of the Louth Intermediate Championship on Friday night 22nd July in Dowdallshill in an entertaining game 0-17(17) to 2-10(16) to go through to the Championship Quarter Finals where they will play St. Josephs G.F.C. Dromiskin next month, date and time to be confirmed.  The next game for the lads is in Division 2 v St. Brides on Saturday 6th August in the last game of the league.  The lads need to win to have any hope of avoiding the relegation play off to Division 3.

Naomh Fionnbarra G.F.C. are hosting a Kellogs GAA Cúl Football and Hurling Camp at John Markey Park between 8th-12th August which is only 2 WEEKS AWAY. The club would like to express our deepest sympathy to the families of MArgo McMahon nee Caffrey, Warrenpoint, Co. Down and Meave Reilly nee Kelly, Lobinstown, Co. Meath, who passed away recently. May they Rest In Peace.
