Kilkerley Emmets and Dreadnots both kept up their winning starts as they made if four wins from four outings in Division 1 on Tuesday night, while Newtown Blues remain the only pointless team after St Fechins picked up their first victory.

Kilkerley Emmets made the trip to Monasterboice where they were made to battle all the way before coming out on top by 1-13 to 1-12.

Once again it was the scoring power of Shane Lennon and Tadhg McEneaney made the difference for the winners in what proved to be an entertaining game.

At half time Nh Mairtin were leading by 0-7 to 0-5 but Shane Lennon hit the net as he brought his tally to 1-5. The Mairtins also scored a goal by Tadhg McEneaney's six points helped his side come away with victory.

The Dreadnots were also made to fight all the way to preserve their winning run as they prevailed against Mattock Rangers on a 1-8 to 1-7 scoreline.

The game in Clogherhead saw the Mattock men have the edge in the first half as a goal from Christy Grimes saw them take a 1-5 to 0-4 lead into the interval.

The Dreadnots came back strongly in the second half and a Richard Kirwan goal helped them to claim a narrow victory.

Sean O'Mahonys remain just two points of the top after they defeated Newtown Blues by 3-12 to 1-9 in Dundalk, a result that leaves the Blues bottom with no points from four games.

The hosts were on top from the outset and a brilliant goal and was followed soon after by a similar run and shot from Ben McLaughlin.

Jonathan Connolly added a third goal as the O'Mahonys went in at the break 3-5 to 1-5 ahead as Conor Moore replied for the Blues.

The Drogheda men were unable to mount a serious challenge in the second half as the O'Mahonys went on to win by a margin of nine points.

The Geraldines picked up their third win of the season when they defeated O'Connells by 2-16 to 2-8 at McGeough Park.

The hosts were in impressive form in the first half as goals from Shane O'Hanlon and Michael Rogers put them in a commanding 2-10 to 1-3 lead.

The Bellingham side battled back in the second period but were never able to threaten the Gers lead. Cian Doyle and Dean Stanfield hit the net for the O'Connells.

A goal from substitute, Sean McGeough, helped St Patricks get back to winning ways after two successive defeats as they defeated neighbours Cooley Kickhams by 1-10 to 0-11.

The game at Fr McEvoy Park saw the hosts open the scoring through Emmet Rogan but the Pats then hit four in succession to take control before going in at the break ahead by 0-6 to 0-4.

Nine minutes into the second half McGeough produced the only score to put his side 1-8 to 0-4 in front. Cooley fought back with the help of scores from Ciaran Sheelan and Michael Rafferty but scores from Karl White and Paddy Keenan ensured the Pats claimed victory.

St Fechins picked up their first win of the season when a 3-10 to 3-7 win over St Marys saw them move off the foot of the table.

It looked as if this game was going to form as the Ardee side were on top in the first half as goals from Matthews and Eccles saw them take a 2-4 to 0-2 lead into half time.

The Termonfeckin side gave themselves hope with 1-4 without reply early in the second half but the Marys settled and looked to have secured the points through a Daire McConnon goal.

However, the Fechins refused to give up and struck 1-2 in injury time to claim a dramatic victory.
