Naomh Fionnbarra club notes

There was no jackpot winner in Naomh Fionnbarra G.F.C. and St. Anne's Camogie Club Lotto draw held on Wednesday 27th January. The winning numbers were 11, 16, 21, 25. There was 1 match 3 winner Stephen Woods, Grangebellew who won €150. Next weeks jackpot stays at €10,000, with the reserve jackpot rising to €6,700. Tickets are available from the usual local outlets, Lotto sellers and any committee member. Funds raised from our Lotto draw go towards the running of the club and your support is greatly appreciated.

The club's Last Man Standing Competition for the National Football League began this weekend. Of the 220 entries 186 are though to the next round.  Hard luck to the 34 people who have been eliminated after week 1.  A big thank you to everyone who entered and we'll see now who knows their GAA.  Good prizes to be won for the last 2 standing so best of luck to everyone.

A number of Naomh Fionnbarra players went to Bray on the 31st of January and took part in Ireland's toughest Physical and mental endurance challenge. Well done to Leanne Sharkey, Sarah Jane Crilly, Bronagh Leonard, Derbhla Osborne, Niamh Devlin, Martin O'Neill, Dessie Murray, Máirtín Murphy, Pádraig Murphy, Colin McGrane, Óisín McGee and Nicholas Butterly who completed the 10KM trail route crossing rivers and lakes, climbing hills and mountains and crawling through bogs and swamps.  A great day was had by all and its fair to say that everyone went to hell and some still haven't come back!! Naomh Fionnbarra Ladies G.F.C. are hosting a small presentation night in the Glyde Inn this Friday night the 5th of February at 7pm. Player of the year awards for intermediate, minor, under 16 and under 14 will be presented on the night along with runner up championship medals for the under 14 girls. No admission fee, everyone welcome to show your support for the players and committee of our successful ladies club.

Following the excellent double victory in the Louth Junior Championship and the Louth Minor B Championship last year Naomh Fionnbarra G.F.C. hosting a Presentation Night on Saturday 13th February at 8pm in the Grove House, Dunleer to acknowledge the winning teams. All players and both management teams will be guests of honour on the night and will be presented with their winning championship medals along with ladies player Shauna Markey who was a winning member of the Louth Ladies All Ireland winning panel. All guests will be treated to a 2 course meal and entertainment will be provided by local band Caution on what promises to be a great night for the whole club. Naomh Fionnbarra G.F.C. & St. Anne's Camogie Club Strictly Come Dancing will now take place on April 9th 2016 in the Tommy Leddy Theatre Drogheda.  While we have lots of dancers already signed up for this event, there are still a few spaces remaining so get your name down ASAP.  It's getting very close to our Meet & Greet Night on 4th Feb in Darbies. Anyone who is looking for a few weeks of laughs fun and getting fit there's still time to sign up. Please get in touch with anypone from the club committee, if you think you're up for the challenge!!

Congratulations to club members and players Marie and John Doyle on the birth of their baby boy recently.

The club would like to express our deepest sympathy to the family of Dessie Reynolds, Farm Road, Annagassan who passed away recently.  May he Rest In Peace.
