Junior 2B Champ: We were knocked out of this competition on Sunday morning in Stabannon by a better team on the day. We had our chances but the two goals by the opposition in the first half were killers as we were in control a both times. In the second half we were under pressure most of the time and our scores were few and far between until the last ten minutes but by then there was seven points between the teams. However it was a great effort over both games this week and last and once again we thank the players who lined out for the club and answered the call. Congratulations to Johnny Bell on making his adult debut for the club on Sunday.

Stabannon: Congratulations to Stabannon Ladies on winning the Louth County Championship on Sunday. Their fifth, well done to all from O'Connell's GFC.

A Day At The Races:  O'Connell's fundraising day in Fairyhouse Saturday 28th November. Day consists of bus from clubhouse to races. Entry to our private suite, a race card and three course meal. Prizes for best dressed lady and gent, surprise guests and tipster. After racing bus back to our clubhouse for entertainment and refreshments. Its €100 a ticket and €25 deposit needed then instalments can be paid at your choice. Tables of ten can be sold if u want to reserve your table .Please support our club and enjoy a great day.
