Lotto: We will be taken a break from the lotto for the holidays and the next lotto draw will take place on Tuesday 25th August in our clubrooms.
Championship: It was a case of so near but yet so far last Saturday evening in Haggardstown we were so close to having two wins under our belt and topping the group. We seem to run out of steam and could not get out of our own half for the last ten minutes or so and Cooley pilled on the pressure and eventually got the scores they needed and ran out winners by four points. When three behind we had a couple of chances of a goal to draw level but it wasn't to be and we did not deserve to lose by the margin we did as they were no way four points the better team. Anyway as Jimmy Greaves would say "funny old game football" it turns out by the law of mathematics and score difference we have qualified for the quarter final of the championship and with the two week summer break coming up it's a chance to asses any injuries' and maybe get a few players back to the fold.

Bingo: Bingo will continue in our clubrooms this Wednesday 29th July at 8.00pm, jackpot €2,400 in 48 numbers. All welcome.

If it does not work on internet explorer make sure you have the correct address as above, if the site does come up but the pictures on the main page are not visible press the F5 button to refresh the page and all should be ok. We are constantly adding to the site and it is not the finished product yet, not by a long way.
Under 14: Congratulations to the U14 team O'Connell's/Stabannon/J. Mitchells on winning the division 4A league title last night when the Glen Emmets were unable to field for the final reply. Well done to all the boy's and selectors.
Social Dancing: There will be social dancing on Bank Holiday Monday 3rd August in our clubrooms from 9.00pm, Music by Curtis McGee, admission €10 and refreshments will be served.
21: Congratulations to our player Robert Quigley who celebrated his 21st birthday in the USA over the weekend. Congratulations Robert hope to see you back in our colours soon.
Underage: Underage training will continue this Friday 31st July at 5.30pm in the Grove; all children who intend to play for the club are asked to attend.
A Day At The Races: O'Connell's fundraising day in Fairyhouse Saturday 28th November. Day consists of bus from clubhouse to races. Entry to our private suite, a race card and three course meal. Prizes for best dressed lady and gent, surprise guests and tipster. After racing bus back to our clubhouse for entertainment and refreshments. Its €100 a ticket and €25 deposit needed then instalments can be paid at your choice. Tables of ten can be sold if u want to reserve your table .Please support our club and enjoy a great day.
