Sheelan Shield: We reached the final of this competition with a comprehensive win against the Geraldines on Sunday last. Although it is only the Sheelan Shield it is still a Louth county board competition and they all count. It was a good performance on Sunday and we were short a few players so well done to all who played.

Team: David Eager; Andrew Shields, Conor Byrne, PJ Tuite; David Hoey, Jason Carroll, Jackie Agnew; Sean Cairns, Salem Rifaie 2-1; Emmet Byrne, Niall Conlon 1-5(3f), Cian Doyle 0-2; Conor McGill 0-1, Andrew Sharkey, Stuart Reynolds 1-0. Subs Ciaran O'Brien for E. Byrne, Conor Culligan for C. Doyle, Conor Kiernan for S. Reynolds.
Division 4C: We had a very disappointing loss last Tuesday night in the Grove against the Young Irelands. After winning our last two games in this division by big score lines we were brought back down to earth with this result and will have to work hard to reach the top four with only four games remaining.

Team: Sean Connolly; David Neasy, Keith Woods, James Rath; TJ Doyle, David Hoey, Ryan O'Hanrahan; Sean Cairns, Ciaran O'Brien; Dean Corrigan, Niall Conlon 1-3(1f), Conor McGill 0-1; Martin O'Mara, Conor Culligan 0-2, Stuart Reynolds 0-6(3f,45). Subs Jordan Bannon for J. Rath, Cian Geeney 0-1 for R. O'Hanrahan, Jonathon Conlon for C. O'Brien.

Under 12: We had our 1st game in the division 1 under 12 league on Friday night versus the Geraldine's in Haggardstown. It was a terrible night weather wise but the rain did let up by 7.15pm throw in, unfortunately some of our parents decided against sending the lads without even a phone call to me which would have been greatly appreciated. Eleven lads turned up the minimum needed to play the game with many of them not having proper boots, gloves etc. It wasn't the best approach and the start of the game confirmed it was going to be a hard night. The 1st three scores for the Geraldine's being goals this left us with a mountain to climb and things got gradually worse with the half time whistle not coming quick enough and the score at the break was 5-4 to 0-0.

With a stern talking to at half time and the emphasis put on a new game in the 2nd half we got the perfect start with a goal from Darragh Mc Donnell which certainly lifted the spirits, we generally worked much harder for the remaining half and with missing so many lads and not being able to make changes compared to our opponents who must have had 20 lads, the game ended with 2nd half finishing 2-3 to 2-2. So overall a very disappointing start to this division 1 league and because of our 2 wins in the grading games against teams which ended up in divisions 3 & 4, it makes you question how we were put in division 1. But if we had all that is available to play with us at under 12 turn up consistently we would certainly be there contesting at this level so perhaps this game might be the wakeup call we needed. Team from O Connell's, Dirmuid Martin, Tadgh Kearney, killian Wall, Jack Dunne, Calum Woods, Darragh Mc Donnell. Chaos ensues and they end up getting in way over their heads
