Neighbours to meet in Leinster MFC backdoor

April 19, 2015

Westmeath's Ciaran Shanley with Offaly's Colm Doyle during the Leinster MFC game at O'Connor Park Tullamore.

The draw for the losers' section of the Leinster MFC has been made.

Offaly, who pushed holders Dublin all the way yesterday, have been drawn at home to neighbours Westmeath in repeat of last year's quarter-final, which the Faithful won comfortably. The local derby clash is expected to take place on Wednesday week, April 29.

The winners of that game will play Kildare, with the winners of that progressing to the quarter-finals. Laois and Wicklow will battle it out in Portlaoise for the other quarter-final place.

Following yesterday's first round games, Dublin, Longford, Meath, Wexford and Louth are through the quarter-finals, with Carlow having had a bye.
