Results: Paddy Sheelan Cup Group B Roche Emmets 1-14, O'Connell's 2-8: Leinster Minor Football League Meath 5-17, Louth 3-8.
Sheelan Cup: Our first game of the season resulted in a three point loss to Roche Emmets. Having played well in the first half and going in at the break ahead by a point we had a battle in the second half and ran out of steam as the opposition seemed to be that bit fitter for this time of the year. However we were short a lot of our regular players for one reason or another so no panic just yet, but it is time to get our act together and get everyone back and winning games. We play the Dundalk Gaels next Sunday morning in the grove and with another weeks training under our belt and a few players back as D:Ream would sing "Things can only get better".

Membership Fee: The membership fees for 2015 are as follows, adult €40, and juvenile 16 to 18 years of age €20 and pensioners 65 and over €20. The closing date for membership is 31st March; contact our membership officer David (Biscuit) Neasy 087-7552822.
Bingo: Bingo will continue in our clubrooms this Wednesday 11th February at 8.00pm, jackpot €6,200 in 48 numbers. All welcome.
The Pull: O'Connell's GFC present a play The Pull by Half Solid Productions on Friday 20th February at 8.00pm. Come along and have a laugh at this comedy and once again thank you for your support. Tickets €10 available from club members and also at the door on the night.
Social Dancing: There will be social dancing on Saturday 21st February in our clubrooms from 9.00pm, Music by Unity, admission €10 and refreshments will be served.
Slimming World: Slimming World will be in our clubrooms every Monday from 7.00pm with consultant Kayleigh 087-061577.
