Results: Division 1 League Newtown Blues 4-21, O'Connell's 1-9.
Division 1: We played our last game of the division one league on Sunday morning and went out with a whimper. It was a case of end of season blues, as for the second year running the Newfoundwell club scuppered our chances of making it into the semi-final of the league. It's sad that we can only scrape together fifteen players to play in what was the quarter final of the top league in the county, no matter what time of year it is, especially with the large amount of support that turned out on a damp rained soaked morning to see us play. We finished sixth in the table on ten points from eleven games played. Anyway that's it for this year and on behalf of the club we would like to thank the player's, managers and selectors for their efforts this season especially Malcolm McDonnell and Alan Brennan for stepping into the breach for the last couple of games when needed.

Bingo: Bingo will continue in our clubrooms this Wednesday 12th November at 8.00pm, jackpot €4,900 in 48 numbers. All welcome.
Social Dancing: There will be social dancing on Saturday 15th November in our clubrooms from 9.00pm, Music by Images, admission €10 and refreshments will be served.
Underage: There will be another important underage meeting on Monday 17th November at 7.30pm and we would like to see a lot more people at this one. So if you are interested in underage football or have anything to offer no matter how big or small come along to the meeting and get involved, Please!
Nominations: The club will hold our nominations meeting on Tuesday 18th November at 8.00pm, please fill in your nomination papers and any amendments to the constitutions must also be returned with them on or before this date. If any member of the club does not receive their nomination papers please let any member of the committee know so as we can arrange to get them for you. The club will hold our AGM on Friday 5th December in our clubrooms.
Louth: Colin Kelly will begin his competitive reign as Louth manager in the Board Na Mona O'Byrne Cup on Sunday 4th January away to Kildare. Louth are in group 2 along with Kildare, Carlow and UCD, they will be at home to UCD on Wednesday 7th January and away to Carlow on Sunday 11th. The Semi-finals are fixed for Sunday January 18th and the final for Sunday 25th.
Clocks: O'Connell's wall clocks available, ideal gift, one can be seen behind the bar in our clubhouse or contact big Jim Connolly for further details.
Zumba-Fitness: Zumba fitness classes in our clubrooms every Tuesday at 7.00pm and again at 8.00pm with Heather Gorden 087-9835279.
Slimming World: Slimming World will be in our clubrooms every Monday from 7.00pm with consultant Kayleigh 087-0615775.
