Cuchulainn Gaels club notes

April 21, 2014
Cuchulainn Gaels U11s travelled to Croke Park on Monday to take part in the launch of the 2014 Go Games

Game1: Robert Emmets

The team showed great spirit to come from behind in the second half and beat a good Robert Emmets (Walkinstown, Dublin) side by one point. A positive take-away - as the sides were evenly matched, we were invited to their annual blitz tournament in June, which we plan to attend.

Game2: St Colmcilles

The second game was against a physically strong and very well drilled St Colmcilles side and while we lost by a couple of scores, our second-half performance was simply brilliant- our players showed great skill, determination and fight to get back into the game and finished the stronger side.

A truly fantastic day was had by all.

Hard luck to our Ladies team who were narrowly defeated by Glyde Rangers on Friday at home. The girls put on an excellent display especially in the second half to close the gap achieved by the Glyde in the first half.

Well done to our Under 16's who recorded a comfortable win away from home in the 1st round of their league on a scoreline of 1-05 to 4-15.

Hard luck to our Under 15's who were defeated by the narrowest of margins away to the amalgamated Kilkerley/Naomh Malachi on a scoreline of 4-07 to 1-15.
