Naomh Fionnbarra made it two wins out of two in Division 3 when they were comfortable 3-20 to 2-3 winners over St Nicholas in Drogheda on Saturday night.
After their narrow win over Naomh Malachi the previous week, there was no such drama this time out for the Barrs who were leading by 0-12 to 1-1 at the break, with Brian Carter scoring the Nicks goal.
Second half goals from William Woods, John Dolan and Jack Butterly sealed the victory, with sub Gary Shevlin replying for the home side.
Meanwhile, Naomh Malachi battled back from their opening day defeat to record an impressive 3-11 to 1-6 win over the Sean McDermotts at Courtbane on Sunday.
Goals from Ronan Greene and Jason Clarke, helped the Mals to lead by 2-7 to 1-2 at the break, with Aaron Myles hitting the net to keep the Seans in touch.
However, the Mals continued to dominate in the second half and completed the win with a second half goal from Jamie Kelly.
After being idle for the first weekend of action, Lannleire got their season off to a winning start with a 12-point victory away to John Mitchels on Sunday afternoon.
Lannleire were never seriously threatened throughout the contest and went in at the break leading by 1-9 to 0-3, the goal, a well taken effort from Mark Matthews approaching the end of the first half.
Jason Mackin hit the net for the Mitchels but Mark Dunne added gloss to a fine Lannleire team performance with his side's second goal.
Wolfe Tones got their first points on the board on Saturday night when they held on to defeat Dowdallshill in Drogheda.
Despite playing with the wind advantage in the first half, the Tones held a slender 0-5 to 0-2 lead at the break.
However, goals from Gareth Cooney and Patrick McKernan just after the restart gave them a healthy advantage which proved sufficient to seal the points despite a late Hill fightback.
St Kevins joined Nh Fionnbarra at the top of Division 3 when the claimed their second successive victory on Saturday night.
The Philipstown side didn't have it all their own way against Cuchulainn Gaels but eventually came out on top with a 2-9 to 1-9 victory.
