The AFL has vowed to continue working with the GAA in their efforts to resume the International Rules Series.
Both parties have agreed to postpone this year's series in the wake of the Covid-19 crisis which has already forced the GAA and AFL seasons to be suspended.
The hybrid game had been fixed to return to Ireland on a two-test basis on November 15 and 21 but Australia will now not be travelling.
"Due to the current circumstances, the International Rules Series scheduled for this year has been postponed," the AFL confirmed on its website today.
"At an appropriate time, we will work with the GAA on potentially resuming the series in coming years."
