Division 6: We got off to a winning start in this competition last Tuesday night in Dunleer with an eight point victory over Lannleire. We had a mixture of young and not so young as you can see from the team below and they played well for their first game in this division. There are only five more games in division six as some clubs have are not fielding this year and three other clubs have joined together to field one team so a winning start was vital. We hope Conor Kiernan recovers quickly as he sustained a bad leg injury at the very start of the game.

Bingo: Bingo will continue in our clubrooms this Wednesday 24th April at 8.00pm, jackpot €3,000 in 48 numbers.

 

 

Division 2: We had another good win in the league on Saturday night against the Plunketts in the Grove and that makes it three wins from three played. The lads played great as we were short a few players with injuries and suspensions. Things are going well in this division and this is a big week with two away games, Tuesday night against St. Fechins and Friday night versus St. Mochtas. So if your available come along and follow the team, all support welcome.

Music:  Aslan (all the band) will perform in our clubrooms for one night only on May 25th .Tickets are €25 and are available from Byrnes bar, Brewery Tavern, Hanrattys Butchers , Joes Shop Greengates, McBrides, Mace Dundalk Road, The Grove House Dunleer any committee member. Tickets are limited so get yours early to avoid disappointment.

 

Social Dancing: There will be social dancing on Bank Holiday Monday 6th May in our clubrooms from 9.00pm, music by Showbud, admission €10 and refreshments will be served.

 

 

Slimming World: Slimming World will be in our clubrooms every Monday from 7.00pm with consultant Aveen 087-3620348.

 

Cúl Camp: The O’Connells cúl camp for 2019 will be on from 15/7/19 to 19/7/19 and online booking is now open as from 1st March on www.kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie

 

 

Gaelteacht: An Coiste Chontae are sponsoring a limited number of scholarships, with the value of €700 for each full scholarship and €350 for each half scholarship. Scholarships for An Gaelteacht for under 14/16 and over 16 years (but must be in second level education) are now available. Application forms must be received by Saturday April 27th and Assessment of candidates will be on Saturday 11th May in Darver commencing at 9.30am. Cheques presentation on Wednesday 15th May at 7.30pm in Darver. Candidates must be active paid-up members of a Louth GAA club and permission of parent/guardian is necessary. Forms can be obtained from our club secretary.
