Division 2: Two wins from two played in this division that makes for a great start to the season. Last season we lost two of our first three games so it’s a big improvement already. The team played well again on Sunday in what was a difficult game that boiled over near the end and resulted with five players getting red cards, two from our side. We would like to wish our player Robert Quigley a speedy recovery as he attended hospital after the game and stayed the night. We hope he is back on the field soon as he will be missed. We play again on Saturday evening in the Grove against Oliver Plunketts at 6.30pm.

Bingo: Bingo will continue in our clubrooms this Wednesday 17th April at 8.00pm, jackpot €2,900 in 48 numbers.

 

Disco: There will be an Easter disco for children in our clubrooms on Friday 19th April (Good Friday) from 7-10pm. An evening of music and fun, shop will be open serving crisps, sweets and drinks. Admission €5, Easter egg raffle & spot prizes, free raffle ticket at the door. All proceeds go to O’Connells under age teams, come along and enjoy the night.

Social Dancing: There will be social dancing on Saturday 20th April in our clubrooms from 9.00pm, music by Brian McDermott and also on Bank Holiday Easter Monday with music by Colin Harney, admission €10 and refreshments will be served.

 

Music:  Aslan (all the band) will perform in our clubrooms for one night only on May 25th .Tickets are €25 and are available from Byrnes bar, Brewery Tavern, Hanrattys Butchers , Joes Shop Greengates, McBrides any committee member. Tickets are limited so get yours early to avoid disappointment.

 

Slimming World: Slimming World will be in our clubrooms every Monday from 7.00pm with consultant Aveen 087-3620348.
