Our U16s lost by 3 points last Friday in the B Championship final to the Newtown Blues last Friday. This is a great achievement for this young squad, most of whom will be playing U16 again next year.

 

Next up are our U12 girls team who play Roche in the B Championship Shield final next Saturday 6th August. Time and venue to be arranged, keep an on social media for updates.

 

U15s play St Patricks away in the league next Friday away.

 

A super day was had by all today as the club held our annual family fun day which was arguably the best fun day to date!!!! The club had the great pleasure of welcoming Mr Stephen Rooney with The Sam Maguire!!!! Stephens grandchildren play in the Tones, Stephen won his all Ireland Medal playing for Dublin in 1974. We also had ME Time on hand with some valuable talks and discussions had as well as music provided by Comhaltas and of course Justin (our resident DJ). Thanks also to The Golf Bag who supplied all our Juvenile medals this year. A huge amount of energy goes into ensuring all goes as planned today and for that a HUGE “Thank You” to the organising committee, the junior team and team mentors for helping make this an unforgettable day

 

Even though the football season is coming to an end volunteers are always needed on many fronts (not just coaching), admin, organisational skills, fundraising coordinators, camp coordinators, IT, Web design, health & nutrition and MANY more besides. If you are interested in getting involved in ANY way please contact the club through coaches, committee members or coaches.
