Championship: A very disappointing result in Dunleer last Saturday night when we suffered a very heavy defeat to Naomh Mairtin in the senior championship quarter final. This game was just about over after 25 minutes as we trailed by 16 points 4-5 to 0-1, we just never got going and put in a performance that is hard to explain giving we were at full strength. The margin of victory suggests that we were not in the game at all but we had our chances and should have had a couple of goals in the first half and had a stonewall penalty turned down by the referee who made some very strange decisions on the night to say the least. However that’s football, and that is the end of our season so on behalf of the club we would like to thank the players, management, selectors, physio’s and all others who helped or took part during the season. Never forget that the end of one day, one experience, one year and one season is just the beginning of another! See you all for the 2019 season.

Lights: Congratulations to our neighbours Stabannon Parnells who switch on their new floodlights next Friday night with a match between the under 11 teams O’Connells/Stabannon v St.Marys, throw in 8.00pm.
