Louth forward William Woods believes that both themselves and Leitrim will be confident of progressing to the next round of the SFC qualifiers.

Only one of the sides will do so though as the teams meet at Pairc Sean Mac Diarmada on Saturday evening. The prize on offer is a place in the next round of the qualifiers and a step closer to the Super 8s.

Woods has been in inspiring form for Louth this year scoring 0-13 in the win over London in the last round and Leitrim will have to keep him quiet if they are to have any chance of getting the right result.

Acknowledging that this is a great opportunity for both teams, Woods told the Dundalk Democrat that they need to focus on their own game and produce a performance that will get them through.

"There is an opportunity for us to win another game and progress, but I'd say Leitrim are thinking the same," stated Woods. "They were probably hoping for us in the draw so we just have to put our heads down, work hard, do our analysis on Leitrim and see what way we want to set up."
