Na Piarsaigh are very much in the hunt for Division 3 honours as they defeated Wolfe Tones by 5-16 to 0-3 to chalk up their sixth win of the campaign at the Rock Road on Sunday.

The game started well for Na Piarsaigh with two quick fire points from Alan McCartney. These were followed by points from Mark O'Hare and Mark Larkin before a Gerard Smyth goal made it 1-7 to no score at the break.

Na Piarsaigh started the second half in the same vein as the first with the first point of the second half scored by Michael Woods, followed by a second goal by Smyth. The scoring kept coming with another goal from Smyth, giving him his hat trick before Mark Larkin added the fifth goal.

St Kevins responded positively to their midweek defeat by getting back to winning ways with a 4-13 to 3-9 win over Nh Malachi at Courtbane.

Patrick Clarke and Cian Callan led the way in the first half as the Kevins built up a 0-6 to 0-2 lead.

The goals began to flow in the second half as Clarke was first to find the net followed by Liam Boylan and two in the final quarter from Paul Duff. The Mals replied with efforts from Colin Hoey, Shane Rogers and Padraig Moley but it wasn't enough to deny the Kevins an important win.

Sean McDermotts held off a strong performance from John Mitchels to come out on top by 2-9 to 1-11 at Mountrush.

The sides were locked at six points apiece at half time with John Gallagher among the scorers for the Mitchels.

David McArdle and Emmet Duffy hit the net after the break and those scores proved decisive in securing a victory despite Ben O'Brien replying for the Mitchels.

Aonghus Giggins kicked six points to see Stabannon Parnells defeat Dowdallshill by 0-14 to 1-4.

Five of those points came in the first half as the Parnells went in leading by 0-8 to 0-2.

Gerry McShane struck a goal for Dowdallshill after the break but points from Daniel Bannon, Colm Giggins and David Cluskey ensured that Stabannon eased to victory.

The game between Cuchulainn Gaels and St Nicholas was postponed, while Westerns take on Young Irelands on Monday evening.
