Naomh Fionnbarra club notes

There was no jackpot winner in Naomh Fionnbarra G.F.C. and St. Anne's Camogie Club Lotto draw held on Wednesday 16th May. The winning numbers were 7, 17, 18, & 19.  There were 5 match 3 winners William Molloy c/o Siaca, Roisin O'Neill, Annagassan, Brian Callan, Clonmore, Ellen Butterly c/o Breda Butterly, Angela Sharkey, Clonmore who won €30 each.  Next weeks jackpot stays at €10,000.  Tickets are available from the usual local outlets, Lotto sellers and any committee member.  Funds raised from our Lotto draw go towards the running of the club and your support is greatly appreciated.

Naomh Fionnbarra men teams had a poor week.  On Tuesday the Intermediate team were beaten by Kilkerley Emmets in Kilkerley 1-14(17) to 1-8(11) and on Sunday afternoon our Intermediate team were also beaten by St. Mochtas in Louth Village on a scoreline of 1-7(10) to 1-14(17) hard luck lads.  

 

Ladies Club NewsMonday 16th May saw the launch of this years Ladies Championship in St Marys clubrooms,Ardee. NAomh Fionnbarra Ladies were drawn against St Fechins,Glyde Rangers & Mattock Rangers. Many thanks to captain Deirbhile, Marie, Marie Claire & Roisin for representing the club at the launch.

 

The Naomh Fionnbarra adult men team fixtures are as follows; Division 2 League Round 9 v Roche Emmets Friday 25th May 8:00pm at John Markey Park, Ballygassan, Division 5 League Round 5 v St. Kevins Tuesday 25th May 8:00pm at John Markey Park, Ballygassan, Division 5 League Round 6 v Roche Emmets Tuesday 5th June 8:00pm at Roche, Division 2 League Round 7 v Oliver Plunketts Thursday 7th June 8:00pm at John Markey Park, Ballygassan,.

 

Féile Peile is a national festival of Gaelic football for Boys & Girls under 14 years of age. It takes place on the last weekend of June (Fri Jun 29th - Sun Jul 1st) and in 2018 it is being hosted in countiesLouth/Meath & Down.  Naomh Fionnbarra/Lannleire have entered our boys U14 team, this means that we have agreed to host a visiting team, accommodating 24 players in family homes and 2 mentors between the Togher and Dunleer area.  We now know we have a team coming for Co. Antrim and we are in a group with St. Josephs GFC, Co. The Local Feile Launch will take place on Tuesday the 22nd May in the Crown Plaza Hotel at 7.30pm.  All host clubs are invited to attend (clubs are asked to be there for 7.15pm). We would like to see 4/6 member's (2 Adults, 2 boys if you have a boys team and 2 girls if you have a girls team), wearing their club colours/gear on the night.  Host clubs from the 3 hosting counties are invited on the evening and Uachtaran CLG John Horan will be present to conduct the Launch.

 

Louth Coaching and Games are hosting the County Skills Challenge finals on Saturday 26th May in Darver.  All clubs are asked to run an internal Skills Challenge for each category and find 1 player to represent the club on the below dates.  U-10 GoGames Football Skills Challenge Finals:  9.30am to 10.45am, U-12 Football Skills Challenge Finals:  9.30am to 10.45am & U-14 Feile Football Skills Challenge Finals:   11.00am to 12.15pm.  The overall winner of the U14 Feile Football and Hurling Skills challenge will go forward to represent Louth at the National Feile Skills Testing day which will take place on Saturday 23rd June in Abbotstown.

Naomh Fionnbarra G.F.C. are hosting a Kellogs GAA Cúl Football and Hurling Camp again this year from Monday 30th July to Friday 3rd August.  Online booking commences on 1st March.
