The death has taken place of Geraldines GFC Honorary President Annie Renaghan.
A lifelong GAA enthusiast, Annie was a sister of the late Jimmy Tuft who played at corner-back in the 1950 All-Ireland SFC final and won a Railway Cup medal in 1952.
One of her three sons, Paul, was a regular with the Wee County in the 1980s.
Her daughter Anne, meanwhile, is heavily involved with Meath club Simonstown Gaels GFC and her grandson Robbie Burlingham lined out between the posts for the Navan club's back-to-back SFC successes in recent years.
Annie received the Geraghty Cup at the Louth Supporters Club awards in 2012 in recognition of her many years of involvement in the GAA in the county.
Funeral arrangements:
Reposing at her son Paul's home, Heynestown from 1pm on Monday. Removal on Tuesday afternoon at 1.30pm to St Fursey's Church, Haggardstown, arriving for Mass at 2pm. Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations to friends of St. Oliver Plunkett Hospital.
