There was a late Valentine's Day gift for DkIT ladies star Sophie Watters following her side's win over DCU in the Moynihan Cup this afternoon.

The Dundalk students saw off their Dublin counterparts' challenge in impressive fashion on their own home turf, winning out by 6-15 to 1-5, and afterwards chairman Joe O'Donoghue had quite the surprise for "his love" Sophie.

The Cavan man got down on one knee after the final whistle and (from what we can make out from the video below) Sophie said 'Yes!'.

Students have been asked to make sure and vote for #Jophie in Ridleys tonight for Mock Bride and Groom for the DkIT Students' Union Wedding.
