AGM: Our annual general meeting will take place on Friday 1st December at 8pm in our clubrooms, all players, members and intending members are requested to attend. Any amendments to the club constitution must be handed in to the secretary of the club at least 10 days before the AGM takes place.

 

Red Stars: Louth GAA, in association with Integral Fitness and Leisure, has teamed up with Argus & Drogheda Independent to name a 2017 Louth Club Championship All-Star team. 51 nominees have been selected, but now it's over to you to pick the 'Red Stars' line-up. The winning team will receive a specially commissioned "Red Stars" jersey and get the chance to take on Pete McGrath's Louth senior team in a challenge match. After winning the intermediate championship some of our players have been nominated, to cast your vote go to www.argus.ie/redstars or the link submit.independent.ie/pick-your-red-stars-2017.html. You must select one goalkeeper, six defenders, two midfielders and six forwards; the closing date is Thursday 30th November 2017. So get voting for your O'Connells players.

 

Bingo: Bingo will continue in our clubrooms this Wednesday 22nd November at 8.00pm, jackpot €1,700 in 48 numbers.

 

New Post: Congratulations to O'Connells member and underage coach Mark McNamee who has been appointed the new Louth ladies under 14 manager for 2018. Well done Mark and good luck for the season ahead from all at O'Connells GFC.

 

Louth Youth Forum: The Forum takes place on Saturday 2nd December in Louth GAA Centre of Excellence, Darver. Registration is from 9.30am, the Forum commences at 10am and concludes at 3pm. Louth GAA are looking for 2 Reps per club in the county between the ages of 15 -18 to participate in a workshop designed to gather the views and perceptions of our Youth Population today to help plan for Your future needs with in Louth GAA in the coming years. Anyone interested in attending this forum should contact the club as soon as possible.

 

Fixtures: Louth will play in group 2 of the Leinster Bord Na Mna O'Byrne Cup along with Kildare and Longford. Groups played on a round robin bases with top team advancing to semi-finals. Louth will play Longford at home on Saturday 30th December. Louth's Leinster senior football championship match against Carlow will take place in O'Moore Park as part of a double header along with the Offaly versus Wicklow match. Louth will play in group 1 of the Leinster Minor Football Championship along with Dublin. Meath, Westmeath, Offaly and Wicklow.

 

Workshops: An exciting programme of coaching workshops coming up over the coming months. December 13th @ 7pm Darver: Transition Games: Tutor Ger Lyons Dublin academy and UCD football coach. This Workshop is Free of Charge. January 20th Darver: Louth GAA C&G coaching conference. Details to follow.
