Operation Transformation: Dromard Healthy Clubs are delighted to announce that our Operation Transformation Park Run will take part on Saturday 4th March.  We hope that as many people from the parish will be able to attend. In order for the children to attend they must be accompanied by a parent, and all children below 4th Class must be within arms reach of their parent at all times (these are the park run rules). Everyone needs to register before the event. Its free so please Log onto www.parkrun.ie/register/form/  to register for yourself and your child / children, print off your bar codes and you will be able to see your times at the end of your run.  These barcodes can be used again and again for anyone who is interested in taking part on an ongoing basis. The Parkrun begins at 9.30 in the Mall in Longford, but we would appreciate it if everyone from Dromard going would please be there at 9.05 so that we can start together as a team. Parking can be an issue around the Mall on a Saturday morning so if you are driving please give yourself plenty of time as you may have to walk a short distance to the Mall. We are considering putting on a bus going from the Club House if we had enough people interested in using it.  If you are interested in a bus please text Nicola Reilly on 083 3428231. Our Couch to 5k is making fantastic progress and still going strong every Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings at 9.30 from the Club House. The walking group on a Tuesday Morning has changed to Monday Mornings at 10.30 at the club house and are also busy getting fit. Sunday Mornings walking group meet at 9.30 along with the Under 15s who are meeting to do a 5k.  Well done to everyone involved and please pop along to any group if you haven't done so already.  Everyone is very welcome. Our Weekly weigh in group have lost a staggering 125 lbs, and are still losing. Keep it up, you are all doing amazingly. And finally our fabulous children in the National School had great fun doing their 10 at 10 on the 10th February. We are getting great feedback from the children, parents and teachers about how well this initiative is going. We are very thankful to Ms Farrell and all the teachers for taking up this challenge and seeing it through. Looking forward to seeing you all on the 4th. From all at the Dromard Healthy Club Committee.
