Goals from Tomas Quinn and Shane Carthy helped St Vincent's break the brave resistance of Mullinalaghta in today's Leinster Club SFC semi-final at Glennon Bros Pearse Park.

The Diarmuid Connolly captained Marino outfit came away with a 2-12 to 0-11 win under their belts and a final date with Rhode of Offaly to look forward to on Sunday, December 11th.

The hosts gave a good account of themselves and trailed by just three points before Carthy pounced for Vincent's second goal on the stroke of full-time.

The same player added a point during stoppage time to bring his personal tally to 1-3.

Former Dublin star Quinn finished with 1-2 to his name and his 16th minute green flag boosted Tommy Conroy's charges into a 1-7 to 0-8 interval lead.

The Mickey Graham managed Mullinalaghta refused to raise the white flag and made life uncomfortable for their illustrious visitors after the break but it's Vincent's who march on.
