There was a big surprise in the Longford SFC yesterday evening as Mullinalaghta St Columba's knocked three-in-a-row chasing Killoe Emmet Og out of the running.

Managed by former Cavan star Mickey Graham, Mullinalaghta came out on top in a closely contested semi-final on a scoreline of 2-12 to 1-10 thanks to late goals from Donal McElligott (penalty) and Rian Brady.

They will be seeking a first county title since 1950 when they take on the winners of the second semi-final between Abbeylara and Dromard in the decider.
