Emmet Òg club notes

June 27, 2016

Our Junior team contested the Gilmore cup semi final against Drumlish on Thursday evening last and after a very close first half we eventually pulled away to record a fine win 4-8 to 1-2. Enda Hughes, Bernard O Connor(2) and Cormac O Reilly got the goals for Killoe. We are now through to the Gilmore cup final where we will play Abbeylara.

Our reserve 1 team play Colmcille this coming Sunday in the semi final f the league. The game is in Emmet Park on Sunday at 2pm.

Very well done to the Longford senior team who had a great win in Newry on Saturday in the all Ireland qualifiers over Down. The team was backbone by team captain Mickey Quinn who played a captain's part with 4 points. Cian Farrelly was excellent at corner back while super sub Mark Hughes came off the bench to get the all important winning goal. Well done lads.
