St. Francis Dromard Minor Club

U16: Well done to our u16 amalgamation, Na Naomh, who won their league semi-final on Thursday last. After a high scoring contest they came out on top thanks to some sharp-shooting forwards. Best of luck to the lads in the final which is to be played this week. Please see club texts for exact details.

U10: Our u10 teams had a great evening's workout last Wednesday when they competed in a blitz in Drumlish. Monaduff was looking fantastic in the sunshine and our boys played some great football to match the weather. Thanks to team trainer Niall Vance for organising the team.

First Aid: A first aid course will be run in the comings weeks by the Minor club. If you are in any way involved with an underage team or just interested in taking part please talk to a member of the Minor executive or stay tuned to club texts.

Registration: There are still a handful of players who have not yet registered. If your child has not been registered yet please ensure you contact a member of the Minor executive asap.

Dromard Ladies Notes

Results/Fixtures: The Senior panel's Div 2 match was conceded by Mullinalaghta, but they are out twice this week. Tonight Wednesday sees us travel to Killashee, throw in 7:45pm and we then entertain Colmcille in Pairc Na Gael on Sunday to round off our Div 2 campaign this season. We then wait to see whether we have done enough to earn a semi-final spot, so fingers crossed we are able to get 2 positive results this week.

Our u/12 panel will have played Mullinalaghta on Monday night, report next week, in the u/12 Championship semi -final, and if we are lucky enough to win we will be togging out for the Final the following Monday.

Our u/14 panel begin their season on Thurs 26th May at home to Killoe. We could still do with some help to manage this team, so if any of our senior girls or a Mammy or Daddy are in a position to help please let Bernie know asap. It involves 5 matches, 3 home and 2 away on 4 consecutive Thursdays with one Tuesday match in the middle. These girls have worked hard in training and deserve to be given the best chance of competing, so don't be shy in volunteering your help.

Birthdays: This week we say Happy Birthday to Shauna Hagan from our u/14 panel.Shauna also plays on the County Panel, and also congratulations to Tamara Cosgrove from our u/12 panel as she reaches the ripe old age of 11.
