Dinner Dance - To celebrate the success of 2015 the club will be holding a dinner dance in the Radisson Blu Athlone on Saturday 23rd January. The players will be presented with medals on the night and our two cups will be on show. It promises to be a great night and more details will follow in the coming weeks.
Intermediate Player of the Year - Well done to Shane Kenny and James Carroll who were both nominated for the Intermediate Player of the Year. To get voting for Shane or James text ICONIC followed by the full name of the player to 57199. Texts cost €1. Closing date is 5pm next Thursday 26th November. The Longford GAA All Stars Awards will then be held in the Longford Arms on Saturday night 28th November where the winners will be announced. Best of luck lads.
50/50 Lotto Draw - Congratulations to Joe Duffy C/O The Yacht Bar who was last Monday's winner of €365 in our 50/50 draw. A reminder that the draw takes place every Monday night and envelopes only cost €2.
Yearly Subscription 50/50 - Our 50/50 draw which started a year ago has proved to be very successful. We have given away nearly €23,000 in prize money since the draw began. We are now giving people who live abroad or away from town the opportunity to be in with a chance of winning and supporting the club. A yearly subscription will include membership for the year along with a chance of winning an average weekly prize of €400. Your support would be greatly appreciated. Congratulations to Killashee - Congratulations to our neighbours St. Brigid's Killashee who overcame Milltown in the Leinster Junior Club semi-final and have now historically reached a Leinster Junior Club final. Well done to all and best of luck in the final.
Commiserations to Killoe - Commiserations to Killoe who were beaten by Portlaoise in the Leinster Senior Club semi-final today.
Western Gaels - Congratulations to the Western Gaels minor team who defeated Colmcille 4-10 to 1-09 in the Minor Shield Division 1 final at the weekend.
