Sympathies: The club would like to extend its deepest sympathies to Tony Kiernan on the very sad passing of Lizzie Kiernan, Annagh, and to the extended O'Toole, Kiernan, and Martin families, many of whom are deeply involved in the club at all levels. Dromard GAA sends its sympathy to John Gilchrist, former teacher in Moyne C.S., on the death of his sister Kathleen, in Longford Town. Our condolences to the extended family of Philomena McEntee, Main Street, Arva and to the family of the late Vincent Charles, Aughavas.

Senior Championship: Dromard 3-07 Longford Slashers 1-13. Dromard and Longford Slashers finished all square in their eagerly anticipated quarter-final clash played at Pearse Park on Saturday evening last (22nd August). A goal from a penalty by Cian Mimnagh helped Dromard to a one-point half-time lead. The same player was on target early in the sccond half to score Dromard's second goal. A third goal for Dromard mid-way through the second half by Francis McGee, following good work by Ross McNerney, saw Dromard extend their lead. However, this score was cancelled out almost immediately by a sweeping Longford Slasher's move that resulted in a goal. In an exciting finish, Dromard survived strong Longford Slasher's pressure and numerical disadvantage to earn a draw. The replay has been fixed for this coming Sunday (30 August) at 1pm in Pearse Park. A speedy recovery to James Martin and Cian Mimnagh who picked up injuries during the game. Dromard lined out as follows: Damien Sheridan, David Pettit , Niall Vance, Paul McGee, Emmet Masterson, Ross McNerney, Kevin Donohoe, Diarmuid Masterson, Ronan McEntire, Gary Maguire, Francis McGee, Bernard Sheridan, James Martin, Cian Mimnagh, Peter Reynolds. Subs: Padraig Martin, Peter Masterson, Declan Mimnagh, John Sheridan.
Junior Championship Playoff: Dromard 1-03 Mostrim 0-13. In a change from the original fixture schedule, Dromard played Mostrim in Monaduff on Friday evening (21st August) in a junior championship playoff game. With both teams having already qualified for the quarter-finals, it was Mostrim who emerged with the win from this particular fixture. After a closely contested first-half, Dromard trailed by 2 points at the break, 1-02 to Mostrim's 7 points.  The Dromard goal was a well finished effort from Sean McNerney, with Bryan McCormack also on target with a good point. Mostrim came strongly into the game in the second half, winning a lot of possession, and gradually extended their lead. Although Dromard tried hard throughout to create opportunities, scores were hard to come by against a tight marking and more energetic Mostrim team. With this fixture completed, Dromard now proceed to the quarter final against Longford Slashers. Please see fixtures for details. The Dromard lineout versus Mostrim was as follows: Oisin Hourican, Ronan Smith, Cathal Conefrey, James Conefrey, Brendan McLoughlin, Martin McGee, Alan McLoughlin, Noel Reynolds, Neill Cosgrove, Conor Duffy, Peadar Kiernan, Sean McNerney, Bryan McCormack, Peter Mimnagh, John McNaboe. Subs: Jimmy Kiernan, Donal Conefrey, Thomas Conefrey, Killian Hourican.
