Club Texting: We have been receiving a high volume of requests to send text messages for various non-club related activities and also from people within the club who haven't planned ahead. While it's nice to be accommodating, it comes with its costs and annoyance to recipients. Notwithstanding the various free services that are in use, the costs for individual messages are either €40 or €20 depending on length. This adds up to between €3000 & €5000 per year to cover 14 odd teams and various committees and supporters. Separately, it's an annoyance to supporters to receive frequent texts, especially for non-club related messages that they have not signed up too. To that end, for club related messages please let the PRO or Secretary know at least 3 days before an event so that your message can be included with other messages. Plan ahead and try to get your notices in the Club Notes, if they still need to be texted they can be included in a weekly text, don't make your poor planning a burden. Separately, if you are from an organisation outside the club, your text will need to be approved on a case by case basis, and then you will need to pay by credit card before delivery.
Sponsorship Coordination: In order to plan properly and to avoid various predicaments from arising, any teams/committees within the Minor, Senior, Junior, and Ladies club, please ensure that the senior club Treasurer and Chairman are aware before asking individuals or business for sponsorship. On that note, if there is anyone out there would be interested in sponsoring any amount towards any team or event we would be delighted to hear from you.
