Rathcline GAA Club Notes

June 22, 2015

MONSTER AUCTION - Rathcline GAA are hosting a Monster Auction this Saturday 27th June at 1pm in Clonbonny. Viewing will take place from 11am that morning. We are asking the community for donations of goods and services which we can use in the auction so get thinking over the course of this week of what you can donate. We are looking for people to donate goods for auction e.g. gym equipment, household goods, furniture, antiques, toys, building materials, fuels, vouchers, tickets etc. Services can also be donated e.g. tradesman services, gardening, painting, physiotherapy, hairdressing, beauty treatments etc. Donations can be left into Farrell's Agri Supplies or contact Gerald Farrell on (086) 8745180. Thank you in advance from all at Rathcline GFC.

50/50 Draw - Congratulations to cult hero and local icon, Ian "St. John" Farrell c/o The Yacht Bar, who was last week's winners of €410 in our 50/50 draw. This should come in quite handy for Ian on his ecclesiastical crusade down under at the moment, well done Iano! The draw takes place every Monday night at 9pm and envelopes are available in all local businesses. Tonight's draw, 22nd June, takes place in Adie's.
Longford Seniors Victory - Congratulations to the Longford seniors who had a fine win over Carlow in Glennon Brothers Pearse Park on Saturday evening 20th June. Great to see the lads put the disappointment of the Dublin performance behind them. Well done to Liam Connerton who performed exceptionally well on his full championship debut - hopefully the first of many great days out for Liam in the blue and gold.

Western Gaels Minor Club - Congratulations to the Western Gaels minor team who scored a comprehensive victory over St. Francis/St. Vincent's last Friday evening 19th June in Clonbonny. Final Score: Western Gaels 3-18 St. Francis/St. Vincent's 1-08

Longford Minors - Rathcline would like to wish Kevin Sorohan and the rest of the Longford Minor squad the very best of luck as they take on Meath in the Leinster Minor Football Championship this Saturday 27th June. The game is fixed for Glennon Brothers Pearse Park with a 3pm throw in. Hopefully a large local crowd will turn out to support the lads in their bid to reach Croke Park in a few weeks.

Rathcline Ladies - The Senior club would like to wish the Rathcline ladies the very best of luck in their opening game of the Senior Championship against St. Helen's (Drumlish) next Sunday 28th June. The game will throw in at 12 noon in Monaduff. The squad have been putting in a big effort this season under the guidance of Ciaran Kenny and Brendan O'Sullivan. We are encouraging anyone who is around next Sunday to go and support the girls as they bid to get off to a winning start.
