Longford will be without Cian Farrelly and Francis McGee for Saturday's SF Qualifier against Carlow.

Killoe defender Farrelly, who made his championship debut during the first-round Leinster SFC victory over Offaly on May 16th, departed to the US shortly after Longford's quarter-final defeat to Dublin and remains out of the country.

Dromard forward McGee picked up an elbow injury during the course of the clash with the Faithful County and has been out of action ever since.

McGee has undergone surgery and is unlikely to be available again this year - a significant loss to manager Jack Sheedy as scoring forwards are hard to come by in the modern game.

Meanwhile, Ross McNerney, who had to be hospitalised after shipping a heavy knock against the Dubs, has made a full recovery and is available for selection this weekend.
